THE LAST EXHIBITION I SAW BEFORE LOCKDOWN NO.2...... ALISON BRITTON AT CORVI-MORA

I miss going to exhibitions and galleries so much and it was sad last week when the government said they wouldn’t open until at least May. Which seems such a long time away. Online exhibitions are really not the same….its the experience of seeing works in relation to each other and also the gallery spaces and other people in them. Alison Britton’s Heat-Work at Corvi-Mora was the last thing I went to last October when my family and I made the trip to Kennington one rainy day especially to see it. I wasn’t disappointed, the gallery space was beautiful and the work full of energy, with strong uncomfortable forms juxtaposed with bold decorations.
