RACHEL WHITEREAD

Currently at Tate Britain there is a small exhibition of Rachel Whiteread's drawings. I have always been a fan of her sculpture but didn't know her drawings at all and I was really pleasantly surprised. The majority of them are on graph paper and are of architectural details and I like their simplicity and restraint, also that the one of the mattresses looks to me like slices of toast.
